Canada 150 at Freeman Station - July 1st, 2017
Freeman Station ribbon-cutting
A large and enthusiastic crowd joined the Friends of Freeman Station on Canada Day at 11 AM at 1285 Fairview Street (just East of the Central Fire Station) as the Mayor of Burlington and other visiting dignitaries (including our intrepid volunteers) cut the ceremonial opening ribbon for the Station and unveiled a memorial plaque. Visitors were amazed to see the restoration work that has continued to bring the Burlington Junction Station (“Freeman Station”) back to its historic glory.
