On April 28th Friends of Freeman Station held its first fundraiser at Emma’s Back Porch. Just over 100 people attended, including Mayor Rick Goldring and Councillors Marianne Meed Ward and Rick Craven. We raised $ 4320.00 from tickets, raffles and a silent auction. Many thanks to all those who attended, to the Burlington Post for helping us to get the word out, and to Emma’s Back Porch for hosting us.

At the event we were delighted to accept cheques for $5000 from our two Platinum Sponsors: Rob Freeman of Focus Environmental Group andWendy and Don Smith of Smith’s Funeral Home.

We would also like to thank all those who donated items for the raffle and silent auction:

Burlington Auto Works
Rattlesnake Point Golf Club
Krown Rustproofing
Burlington Nissan
Julie’s Spa
Napa Auto Parts
Burlington Bowl

Stay tuned for news of our next fundraiser!
